Blueberry crumb bars

I've been wanting to try this recipe for quite some time now and when I got my hands on some gorgeous blueberries I figured it was the perfect opportunity to test it out. I love making all sorts of desserts, but I tend to lean towards making rich and chocolatey things because that's what I prefer to eat however these bars were ridiculously good. Like old boyfriends might regret they ever broke up with me because they'll be missing out on these good. Yeah.

The recipe doesn't call for any vanilla so what I did was substitute regular white sugar for some vanilla sugar that I had. All you have to do to make some is stick some used vanilla pods into a sugar canister and after awhile it'll absorb the flavor and the delicate vanilla scent is so delicious.

These are good at room temperature but also great after they've been in the fridge. Happy baking!
