Wine Stained

For someone who rarely wears lipstick, I have to say I have quite a few in my collection. Aside from chapstick, which you can just haphazardly apply, I've always found lipstick and lip gloss (which I really hate, too sticky!) really annoying to reapply again and again. However, I'd always admire women who wore that perfect shade of juicy orange or hot pink and worked it so freaking well. I love lipstick, I just never feel comfortable wearing it for a few probably weird reasons. There are a couple shades of red in my collection, and I've written about NARS Carthage before which I still think is a great color, and burgundy wine which is nothing terribly new but I only recently got my hands on a tube...and I think I found The One. 

A new brand called MAKE, a line of cosmetics made by We See Beauty, carries lipsticks ofvarious  formulas. The one I have is a silk-satin lipstick called "Beetroot". It's got barely there shimmer, very hydrating, wasn't terribly long-wearing but who cares because I love the shade! It's a tiny bit darker than in the photos, but it's the perfect vampy shade that adds drama to any look. Definitely something I'll want to continue wearing throughout winter.
