The Essentials

My absolute favorites. Simple but will always serve me well. A black blazer, denim cutoffs (yes, I know I wear them often), leopard, barely there heels, shades, and my favorite nail polish in the most perfect shade of hot pink.

Lightness

Inspired by the influx of pastel items this season, I kept this look really simple and light. The shirt from Jay Et Elle is unbelievably comfortable and breezy and will definitely be in heavy rotation this spring! Have a great weekend everyone.

Denim On Denim

Denim jackets were my thing in middle school. I mean I loved them and was hardly ever seen without wearing one. Then suddenly they became incredibly uncool and dated so I put them out of my mind even though there was a resurrection of denim jackets in recent years, I didn't care. Then oddly, last week I woke up yearning to wear one again. I was shopping for my Miami trip when I came across this denim and leather number and I think I let out a gasp. A nice little upgrade from the traditional blue! Of course I bought it right when hot weather's about to roll in but whatever. Wearing it with the most comfortable black Ryan pocket t-shirt sent by Everlane (thanks!). Super soft and with sleeves the perfect length, it's replaced my Kane shirt as my favorite.

For those who have been looking for a new summer frame, check these Ray-Bans out which are a rounded version of the popular Wayfarer. I actually needed a replacement since my dog chewed them up and I love these a lot more.
