I want to introduce the newest love of my life. A 12 week old lab, Ezra. I'm currently fostering him for a little while and omg, he's the snuggliest and sweetest thing ever!

Swap

Last month, Mimi from Brook&Lyn asked me to participate in a closet swap she was organizing with several other bloggers that she was inviting. Each person was to send her 3 items which she photographed and displayed on the closet swap website for everyone to choose which 3 items we would like to receive. One of the items I picked was this Tomaso dress shirt, previously owned by Res Pulchrae (whose style I absolutely love!). It's a little oversized and drapes beautifully, I've been looking for a white shirt like this for a while now and am so glad I found it through the swap. I need to be careful though, me + white clothing = hot mess.

Eye candy

Balthazar is where many New Yorkers flock to for good French bistro food in addition to pastries and artisan breads. The main bakery for Keith McNally's restaurants (Pastis, Schiller's, Minetta Tavern, and more) is located in Jersey and they ship the goods to the various locations in New York. Even though it's kind of a pain to get to, I love coming here because usually when I stop by the Balthazar in New York, it's never at a good hour and all the things I wanted to eat are gone. There's always a superfluous amount of pastries here so my mother and I lose our heads over them.

That is all BUTTER. All I wanted to do was dig my hands into that giant mountain of sin and mush it around, lol.

I'm always tempted to buy a chocolate roundel even though I have no idea what I'd do with all that.

I snuck a bite of my mom's toasted brioche with almonds.

Cannele, which is baked in a copper mold so the exterior is a little caramelized and crunchy while the insides are custardy and really moist. SO good, I should have bought more.

Chanel tattoos, I couldn't help myself!

I was feeling pretty down last week and needed major retail therapy. Miu Miu flats and a Chanel 2.55 bag were the answer to my problems. I've been saving for this lambskin 2.55 for a while now, I hope my clumsy self doesn't scratch the leather to hell!

Lightness

This past weekend I went to New Jersey, where my parents live and where I grew up! I hate lugging a lot of crap when I go over there so typically I'll take one or two outfits and wear it for the few days that I'm there. But I forgot that Sunday was Easter and all I had was a black leather jacket, black shirt, black jeans..seemed too heavy for a typically colorful holiday. S0 I bought both the chambray blazer and the silk pants and really love the two together. These pants are sooo incredibly comfortable and lightweight, the blazer is lined so it's not exactly great for warm weather but whatever..it looks springy enough.
