Rodarte wedding

I was looking through the December issue of Vogue again and saw this picture that I previously skipped. Lawren Howell, an editor at Vogue, in a gorrrrrgeous custom Rodarte wedding gown! Ohmygoddd, she looks so beautiful. I loved the dramatically dyed tulle gowns from their spring '09 collection, and this simplified version is just as stunning. Not sure if it's just the photo, but the hem seems to have the slightest touch of lavender.

Textural

Introducing my new babies, Alaïa patent leather platforms. It's hard for me not to fall in love with any platformed shoe with a 90's styled chunky heel. I got them from The Outnet for a discounted price!

A vintage snakeskin clutch I found on eBay, there's a little handle that pops up too. This burnt sienna color is so beautiful.

Even the shoebox is intense! You have to actually unbuckle the leather strap to open it.

Top & vest - Zara
Jeans - Topshop
Necklace - J.Crew
Clutch - Vintage
Shoes - Alaïa
Ring - Yves St. Laurent
Bracelet - Cartier

I watched A Single Man a few nights ago, the film directed by Tom Ford, and I recommend that everyone who lives by a theatre that is playing it to go see it! It was so beautiful and well written that I'm probably going to watch it again :P It was nice to see Colin Firth outside of the romantic comedies that I've only seen him in.

I <3 Miuccia!

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had an amazing holiday, I'm on winter break and thus have been lazy with blogging, but here's my first post of 2010!

Miuccia Prada has been one of my absolute favorite designers since I started appreciating fashion and I was ecstatic to hear that there would be a 708 page book documenting her first baby, Prada, over the past 30 years. I pre-ordered it expecting it to arrive in February but it came to me a few weeks ago and let me tell you...this thing is SEXY. It includes everything from the history, all the ad campaigns for men and women, tiny images of every runway look produced, concepts behind the retail stores, almost everything you could ever imagine. It's available at Prada stores, online, but the best deal is probably through Amazon. Here's a glimpse.

One of my favorite ads ever. Amber Valetta shot by Glen Luchford in '97.

My shoe collection comprises mostly of either Prada or Miu Miu, they're just so beautiful with the perfect amount of quirk. I purchased both of these shoes at Barneys during the sale recently. I'd been eyeing the first pair for a long time and then finally went to buy them only to happily find that they'd been marked down. They're like jewelery on my feet!
