Cowboy bondage is so good

My Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony boots came! Was initially worried they would be a little big since only 36 was available and I always wear 5.5 in heels, but they fit, they're super super comfortable, and I love them! The only problem is that there is no zipper and so I have to unbuckle most of the straps..whatever,just a small price to pay for these amazing boots. Wearing with some things that I've acquired from both of my parents. My dad's vintage Burberry shirt (it's seriously so old), my mom's vintage Moschino belt, and Topshop floral shorts.

This cat came in the mail too.

Not really haha. This is Cake making his debut on my blog, his partner in crime is named Crumb :)

Breaking away from black

I'm kind of obsessed with what J.Crew has been coming out with, especially their chunky costume jewelery. I got the August catalog yesterday and was very impressed with the styling. It's still got that Connecticut preppy vibe but a lot more modern and in tune with current trends. I especially loved the mixture of muted colors and neutrals, not just boring candy colored cashmere cardigans for soccer moms. It's nice to really drool over something that isn't high-end for a change.

You can't see very well, but she's wearing hot pink socks that are so cute

I felt like there was a slight nod to the Dries Van Noten Fall 09 collection, similar color palette.

Gay lumberjack?

Is what Chloe Sevigny used to describe her new collection with Opening Ceremony. Sure why not, but what's important is that I GOT MY HANDS ON *THOSE* BOOTS!

They're still available in a ton of sizes on the Creatures of Comfort site but only in suede, which is fortunate for me because I prefer these to the black leather version. Will post them when they arrive!

Cherry pop

The color of this Topshop dress totally caught my eye and I love that the peplum accentuates my non-existent hips and also makes my waist appear smaller. Also, this is super comfortable.

Omggggg

Was my first reaction when I saw these Miu Miu boots are Barneys. I literally gasped. I can't wait until it cools down a bit so I can wear them!

They're unbelievably comfortable too, I feel like I'm walking on a big pile of cushioning due to the super thick platform. I'll post them paired with some clothes soon :)

Hot mama

I'm not sure where it came from, but I sort of have baby fever right now. Well more like I'm falling in love with the idea of having my OWN family more so than squealing over strangers' babies in their strollers..I've actually never been keen on kids but my itch to become a mother is kicking in...too early! However the vain thoughts come streaming in. Childbirth! Morning sickness! Stretch marks! Declining sex life with the husband! A loss for any sense of style! But then a breath of relief comes when I see photos women who are impeccably dressed from street style blogs.

Ok, first of all whose baby is this and where can I get one?!
Reminds me of Lily in SATC when she wears a mini tweed Chanel bag and the jeweled cupcake bag by Judith Leiber!

Of course, the amazing Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace.
This outfit she wore to a wedding is one of my favorite Kate outfits.

This I found on the Sartorialist a while ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since.
Her entire outfit just screams effortless from her hair to the loose jeans, the undone zipper, and the slightly dowdy and clunky boots. I love it.

Then during my more senior years, I hope to graduate to looking as chic as ever. Leonor Scherrer looks SO HOT. Will I be able to wear such stilettos when I'm 50+?

And of course, Anna Dello Russo. Look at that BODY. Omg.

Baubley boo!

Thanks to everyone that participated in the chickdowntown contest! I picked a winner who I've emailed informing that her new jeans will soon be on their way :)

Showing off one of my latest purchases from net-a-porter.com, a Yves St. Laurent ring that I've been eyeing for a few months now but didn't want to buy because I had no opportunity of seeing what it looks like on. BUT I happened to see Alexa Chung wearing the blue version of it on her t.v. show and I immediately snatched one up and am so glad I did. It's huge and ugly but in a gorgeous way lol, definitely eye catching.

Sofia Achaval wearing her two YSL rings, amazing but definitely looks a little uncomfortable since they're kinda bulky. The Selby
A few weeks ago I won these on eBay, one of my favorite sources to find jewelery. A vintage octopus brooch with multicolored rhinestones and a "Mama bear" brooch. They're just fun things to throw on the lapel of a blazer or on a sweater.

That's it for now. Hope everyone is having a Happy 4th of July!!! New York finally produced some nice weather!
