Quatrefoil

The Vintage Alhambra from Van Cleef & Arpels is finally a part of my jewelery collection! I've wanted this single mother of pearl clover piece for a while now, so classic and simple and looks good alone or worn with a cluster of several necklaces. The quatrefoil shape itself is adorable and even outside of the VC&A context I love it! Over the summer when I was starting to furnish my apartment I found this small occasional chair by Hickory Chair with the clover shape and I had one custom made with dark purple silk and an ivory frame.

And I still don't understand why Heidi Klum would create a jewelery line featuring the quatrefoil when it's synonymous with an already established jewelery label. ???. She got sued but I'm not sure what the outcome of that was.

I always wondered what the mystique behind Chanel is, why is this brand so coveted among others? Their accessories, bags, shoes, clothes, EVERYTHING is a dream and yes, so are other prestigious fashion labels, but nothing seems to hold the same sparkle as Chanel. For me, I'm probably obsessed due to my mother who always has been a handbag and shoe fiend and she's collected a lot of Chanel over the years.

This little guy is probably my favorite but the bag I wear the least. I think only because I'm afraid of damaging it because the leather is so buttery and easily scratched, how cute is the little camellia flower?! I remember the excitement and butterflies that came with each new bag :) One day I hope to own a multicolored tweed 2.55 bag...one day.

My first post, and I'll start with my newest shoes that I LOVE.


Givenchy wedges that I bought from Saks Fifth Ave while shopping peacefully by myself. Inititally I was going ga-ga for the Ann Demeulemeester lace-up sandals but after seeing them I didn't think they were that flattering.

Worn here with my new Alexander Wang Goddess dress, I've been loving the white dress with a heavy black shoe look.
